 Wrapping up on Saturday, June 28, the 2008 NSW State Titles enjoyed amazing weather and great surf almost every day of the seven-day event. The location right through was Coffs Harbour’s Park Beach, just north of the surf club, and competitors certainly enjoyed the change of venue from Bonny Hills.
The first half of the week the age divisions were held, winners being –
Over 60s: Dave Pimm, Over 55s: Peter Hudson, Over 50s: Peter Becker,
Over 45s: John Fraser, Over 40s: Richard Smith, Over 35s: Matt Rawson,
Over 35 Womens: Lisa Nicholson.
With those divisions all finished by midday Wednesday, it was then time
for the Open Men and Women, Junior Girls and Boys, and Cadets. Harley
Ingleby took out the Opens (plus the Over 8s), Rachel Pinsak won the
Open Womens and Samantha White the Junior Womens, Beau Nixon triumphed
in the Junior Boys, and Jack Lynch in the Cadets.
