Competing in the longboard division for
Australia was Harley Ingleby, pictured at left, on the winner's podium. Harley surfed well to score the silver medal, behind the other surfer in this photo, South African Mike Moir.
Heath Joske, younger son of well-known Nambucca surfer Paul, also scored a silver medal in the Open Mens. That was a great result as the surfers coming third and fourth were Australian WCT surfers Dayyan Neve and Kai Otton.
