The Palm Beach Longboarders held their Old Mal Rally for 2008 on the first Saturday in November ...
In small waves ideal for the old clunkers, the contest was a great success, and enjoyed by all those involved. Sponsored by Fire Guard Installations, all proceeds from the day went to various charities, including the Disabled Surfers Association.
Matt Chojnacki, just back from an extended stay in southern France, won the Opens from current Australian Junior Champion Beau Nixon.
In the Over 45s Avalon's Duncan Herbert was the winner, while Manly's Lynden Riley took out the Over 55s.
