Dane Pioli won his third consecutive Surftech Mens Pro at the 2009 Hyundai Malfunction ...
… it took him until the last few minutes of the final to find the wave
that would allow him to frogleap American Taylor Jensen, but is was a
great wave, and very worthy of the winning score. Josh Constable was
third, then Jackson Close.
In the Surftech Ladies Pro there was a similar scenario, with Chelsea
Williams needing a winning last wave to win her third consecutive
title, but this time it wasn’t to be, with Tessa Davidson holding on to
win.
