The completion of the Country Energy Australian 2009 Australian Longboard Titles, at Town Beach, Port Macquarie, saw Queensland dominant, winning seven of the 11 titles on offer.
Day Seven: Finals Day.
The blue riband Open Mens went to defending champion Josh Constable (Qld), pictured here by Surfinfo.com.au. Harley Ingleby started with a 9.0 and only needed a 7.something to overtake him, but just couldn't find it. This proved the story of the day for a lot of surfers ... that second wave so elusive in the sometimes fickle waters of Town Beach.
Other winners were:
Open Women: Rosie Locke (Qld)
Junior Men: Ed Cunningham (Qld)
Junior Women: Rachel Pinsak (NSW)
Over 60 Men: Neville Smith (Qld)
Over 55 Men: Bruce Channon (Qld)
Over 50 Men: Glen Mahoney (NSW)
Over 45 Men: Mark McNamara (Qld)
Over 40 Men: Hayden Swan (NSW)
Over 35 Men: Mark McNamara (Qld)
Over 35 Women: Debbie Boggis
