One of the contest directors, Laurence Fleming sent us this blurb re the event:

It's that time of the year again, time to dust of the old mals ... not Fraser, not Meninga, not Turnbull, not Reilly (that's for the Manly boys) ... but those beautiful and not so beautifull pre-1968 boards, and get them ready for the famous, or is that infamous, Palm Beach Longboarders OLD MAL RALLY. It's to be held at Palm Beach, Sydney, on November 7, 2009.

All are welcome: with Opens, Over 45s and Over 55s, and a Show and Shine.
