Harley Ingleby 2009 World Champion!! |
 The 2009 Oxbow ASP World Longboard Tour final event has crowned Coffs Harbour’s Harley Ingleby as 2009 World Longboard Champion!!!
In so-so lefthanders at the famous Maldives break, Pasta Point, Harley bettered Brazilian Phil Rajzman, in their quarterfinal, and in so doing finally clinched the World crown. Anyone following his career would know it was just a matter of time, and longboarding has another fantastic representative as their number one.
Back at his home in Emerald Beach, his parents received a phone call from their very stoked son just after his win ... no doubt his disappointment at coming so close last year is now well behind him.
Hawaiian Kai Sallas took out the final of this event, against Harley, in conditions that deteriorated through the day.
